I got this wonderful story in my mail today and I hope it will make people understand the heavy responsibility of being a dog owner. Before you think about buying a new puppy, please do some research on how well the breed will fit into your family. Or, better yet, visit your nearest shelter and find it in your heart to give those poor, innocent dogs (and cats) another chance and help avoid unwanted euthanasia.
